Book Review: Tempt The Boss by Natasha Madison

O.M.G. Tempt The Boss by Natasha Madison was honestly one of the most hilarious and the most entertaining office romance books I’ve read in a while. I freaking loved this book. This enemies-to-lovers book checked of all the criteria in a book that I love. The banter, the pranks, the chemistry!! Hot! I loved all of it. If you guys are looking for a hot, funny, sexy read, I highly suggest you pick up this super sexy office romance!

Lauren is a single mom of two, looking to go back to work after her marriage falls apart. She was expecting a breeze but what she doesn’t expect is to get a sexy but mean as hell of a boss. For Austin (a.k.a Asshat) his job is everything. But he can’t seem to hold on to his assistants for more than a week.

“She’s nothing more than a crazy chick with a tight ass. Who will get me coffee daily.”
“Oh, really?” Her voice cuts through the air.
“Well then, I’m happy I could assist you in your day,” she snorts, coming in and dumping the bags on the table in front of us. “I also got something for your friend,” she huffs and then walks away.
This time slamming the door on her way out.
“Oh fuck, you are in so much fucking trouble. Dude, she is going to fucking string you up by the balls.”

I absolutely adored Lauren. With her quirky, smart and playful attitude, she was unstoppable. And to top that all of, she was sexy and confident in her own skin. She was an amazing mother to both Rachel and Gabe. In addition to that, I loved her relationship with Kaleigh. She was stubborn and driven, and suffice to say I really loved her character.

“That is almost like watching porn,” I tell him. “You doing stuff like watching dishes, vacuuming, homework with Gabe. It’s mom porn.”
His eyebrows shoot up.
“Are you checking me out?” he questions with a smile.
“I’m going more than checking you out. I’m undressing you in my mind,” I tease him as I lean against the counter.
He shakes the water from his hands. “Really? Well, in that case, where the fuck is the vacuum?”

Austin had me swooning one minute and laughing my butt off in another. Despite his initial assholish (yes, that’s a word now) attitude, we come to learn how thoughtful, loyal and sweet heart can be as the story unfolds. Austin’s relationship with her kids really won me over.

“I want you … Only you. You drive me absolutely fucking crazy, and you keep me on my fucking toes. You make me want everything, and I’ve never wanted everything. I’ve only wanted me. Now, I want you and everything that comes with you.”

I gave this book a 5/5 stars and I highly recommend it. There was no unnecessary drama or angst. I loved the characters and the character development in the book. I loved the dynamic between them. The author’s writing was amazing and very enjoyable to read. Tempt The Boss is a very well written book that will have your heart soaring and make you laugh till tears come out of your eyes.

“John! Get the fuck in here,” I whisper-yell angrily through clenched teeth.
He walks in, and I close the door as he looks down and gasps, taking in the state of my balls.
“What the fuck, dude?!”
“I don’t know what’s going on! I was sitting in the meeting when I felt a prickling sensation. I thought my pants were just tight. Dude.” I look down. “My balls.”
I look up again to see that John is standing there, a hand over his mouth, his eyes wide.
“You need to go to the doctor. Jesus, do you think they’ll explode?” he wonders as he crouches down — a little too close considering our relationship — to get a better look.
“Get the fuck away from my balls, please.”

So if you for some reason haven’t picked it up yet, what the heck are you waiting for? But if you have, let me no in the comments what you thought of it.
