Book Review: Fake Out by Eden Finley

Fake Out by Eden Finley is the first book in her new Fake Boyfriend series, and it is one steamy novel full of witty banter! I loved it!

When Maddox felt trapped by his high school girlfriend, he lied to her about being gay in hopes of easily breaking things off with her without hurting her feelings. Little did he know that by the time he got back to his home, the whole town, including his parents, knew about his ‘coming out’ story.
Since Maddox never planned on settling down ever or having a serious relationship, he didn’t feel the need to come out and say the truth.
Fast forward to five years, he gets invited to his ex-girlfriend’s wedding and is now in need of a fake boyfriend. That’s when Damon decides to help him out in exchange for a huge favor.
But Damon has been there and done that, and especially with a said straight guy. Which is exactly why, despite Maddox’s hotness, Damon is hesitant to be the one to help Maddox out when he starts questioning his own sexuality.

There was such intense chemistry between the two and I loved their interaction! It was so hot! I loved Eden Finley’s way of storytelling and am willing to read more of her work.

Other than that, I loved the side characters. The whole novel was very well developed and constructed.

I am really looking forward to the next installment in the series, which will feature Matt and Noah.

“You remember when we first met and I told you I felt like I don’t belong?”

Damon nods.

“I found it – where I’m supposed to be. It’s with you”
